GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Volunteer service should:
• Be purposeful, thoughtful, engaging.
• Be undertaken with respect and sensitivity.
• Be undertaken freely.
• Be honorable activities that contribute to creating a culture of service.
• Be viewed as a developmental and learning opportunity.
• Contribute toward building an inclusive community.
• Contribute toward the well being of the community.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM SERVICES
• Personal advising for individuals and groups.
• Publications about community opportunities.
• A contact list of agencies/organizations seeking volunteers.
• Help with advertising and group recognition.
• Event planning and assistance.
• An annual fair on campus with over 70 organizations seeking volunteers.
• Special projects.
• The Volunteer ListServ.
• Web page with campus and community events.
